Velvet Revolver Still Searching For Singer
A little while ago I posted about Velet Revolver searching for a new singer, the band was rumored to be considering that guy from Spacehog. Today it has been revealed that this is untrue and that the search is still on.
“Bassist Duff McKagan tells Billboard.com that although Velvet Revolver did play with Langdon and that “he’s f*cking awesome, at this point I’d have to say no” on him becoming the new singer.
“We just have to make sure it’s the right guy,” he says, adding that Weiland’s angry departure from the band this spring has brought him closer to group members Slash, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner. “Karmically, we deserve the right guy. It’s a tough thing, man. We make a pretty big noise.”
Personally I think the band should just give it up, but then again I’m not a fan. I think drummer Matt Sorum is good and it’d be cool to see him use his talents and awesome DW Drums with some different players, rather than to keep continuing on with the same guys from Guns N’ Roses. We’ll see what happens I guess.

I thought when Weiland left that this band was done. Perhaps the rest of the band didn’t get the memo from the label?
They need to give Kevin Jones a shot he’s a the best unsigned untapped Singer in Rock n Roll !!! He’s known Sorum since High School !!! He deserves a chance and he is a great songwriter and is also a AWESOME guitarist !! Kevin ’s my bro of many many years and the VR Managemnt loved his press kit and gave it to the band - Kevin Jones is 1,000,000 times the singer of Spacehog !! give me a break would you !!! He rocks the stage !!! he’s nothing like Weiland dressing up like a woman and prancing around like a female stripper !! Kevin Jones deserves a shot !!! So he’s not Tyler’s son in law big deal —- is this just celebrity bull shit ?? or do they really want a great singer ??? Cmon VR pull your head out !!! Kevin Jones is better than any singer any of you have ever had .
